Our new tournament innovation gets you into the game to compete for thousands of dollars for free! Best of all, from May 8th to May 17th we will host a Freebuy tournament series with $150,000 in prize pool guarantees!

Last month we designed a whole new type of tournament that allows players to enter at absolutely no cost and compete for real money! These Freebuy tourneys have a rebuy/add-on structure but no cost for the initial entry, giving everyone with an ACR account an opportunity to play!

Registration begins two hours before each Freebuy tournament starts and the late registration is open for two hours (if capped players isnt met). The optional add-on period is three hours after the Freebuy kicks off. The series is open to all players with an ACR account, whether or not you’ve ever made a deposit. Simply register for the tournament and you’ll be sat at a table with a starting stack. You may then choose to add to your stack with a rebuy and add-on or just fight it out with the chips you receive with your initial free entry.

Rebuy and add-on units range from just $0.01 to $20 but you have an opportunity to win whether you add to your chip stack or not!

Pathways Class 330 is running a poker tournament to raise money for the Pathways general scholarship fund, to assist those who want to go through the training, but are in need of financial help!

The tournament is on Sunday May 3rd. Registration starts at 11AM, tourney starts at 12PM. We will have dealers, as well as food and drinks. Outside alcohol is not allowed by the hotel; however, they will be running a cash bar in the room, for anyone who wants to purchase alcohol.

Finally got to play a lil poker today.  I need some help from the poker goddess. A nice double or triple up would be awesome. Wish me luck.

Also want to let everyone know that my screen name is now P4AC Poker at Americas Cardroom and to stay tuned for info on a charity event planned for June 13th at The Local Public House in Plano, TX. I will also post the results of this tournament when it's finished.

Lodge Hall For Rent

The Garland Lodge Hall & Back Picnic Grounds are available for renting for private parties and gatherings.  Full kitchen, bar available upon request.  Contact Lynn Leslie at 972-303-5528 for information and to set appointment to see the available facilities.  Great prices and great location for weddings, showers, birthday parties, anniversaries and much more.  The Lodge is located at 3825 Duck Creek, Garland, Texas  75043.  Very reasonable prices.

Lounge

Whenever you are in the area, please come by and visit.

Our lounge has a very friendly atmosphere with shuffleboard and A billiards table. to help keep you entertained. We also have three televisions so you can watch your favorite shows whether it be sports or your favorite movie. Hours of operation are: Monday - Tuesday 4:00 p.m. til 12:00 a.m.; Friday - 4:00 P.M to 12:00 P.M. Saturday 4:00 P.M. til 1:00 a.m.; All Closing times are flexible depending on patron numbers.

Kitchen

Our kitchen is open for business during special functions and every Friday night is hamburgers and/or cook's choice. All of our cooks are hardworking volunteers!

Patios

We have three covered patios for those who prefer to sociallize out-of-doors. One is adjacent to our entrance, another adjacent to the pool and the other is located in our park.

RV Hook-ups

The Garland Elks Lodge has Limited RV hookups (WEEKENDS ONLY) for RVs. We have electrical and a few water hookups plus a dump station. SORRY NO Long term camping...

In this hand P4AC is in the big blind and everyone has folded except for the small blind who goes all in preflop. Of course P4AC makes the call with pocket kings but sometimes you just can't win a hand. Slumps happen. It's bankroll management that gets you through your slumps. So when bad beats like this happen, it doesn't really bother your bankroll as much as it boggles your mind.  

Lodge Weekly Events

Good morning everyone.  Hope you all had a Happy Easter yesterday.  This week is going to be busy, in fact, this entire month is going to be very, very busy and your support and participation is greatly appreciated.  We have several fun events planned and could use your help in volunteering and more importantly participating at some of these events.  Please say a prayer today for Jessica Wharton. Our bartender is having major back surgery.  

Paulette Lathan will be hosting a Craft/Garage Sale on May 9th (Tables are $20.00 or two for $35.00).  You can sell your crafts or items around the house you need to get rid of.  You keep your sales proceeds or you can donate stuff to be sold to benefit the Lodge.  Please call Paulette at 214-646-7778 to reserve a table.  

Paulette will also be hosting a Casino Bus Trip on June 6th ($25.00 which includes a light breakfast at the Lodge).  We depart from the Lodge around8:30 a.m. and return around 6:00 p.m.  This is going to sell out fast, so please make your reservations now.  (More Details to Follow As We Know Them).

This Friday, there is an award winning Country/Western Band called the Jon Beaumont band that will be at the Lodge from 7:00 - 11:00 on Friday night. Jon's band just recently opened for Martina McBride and they are regulars at Southern Junction, Ranch House and the Stockyards.  Don't miss out.  $10.00 is all it costs for you to enjoy GREAT music and dance the night away.  The ballroom will be smoke free, so come on down and have a great time.  We will have burger baskets on hand for $6.00.  If we can get 60 of our members to come down and spend $20.00, we can have a huge night.  Let's Do It.  There are already 88 RSVP's on social media.
