In this hand P4AC is in the big blind and everyone has folded except for the small blind who goes all in preflop. Of course P4AC makes the call with pocket kings but sometimes you just can't win a hand. Slumps happen. It's bankroll management that gets you through your slumps. So when bad beats like this happen, it doesn't really bother your bankroll as much as it boggles your mind.  

Lodge Weekly Events

Good morning everyone.  Hope you all had a Happy Easter yesterday.  This week is going to be busy, in fact, this entire month is going to be very, very busy and your support and participation is greatly appreciated.  We have several fun events planned and could use your help in volunteering and more importantly participating at some of these events.  Please say a prayer today for Jessica Wharton. Our bartender is having major back surgery.  

Paulette Lathan will be hosting a Craft/Garage Sale on May 9th (Tables are $20.00 or two for $35.00).  You can sell your crafts or items around the house you need to get rid of.  You keep your sales proceeds or you can donate stuff to be sold to benefit the Lodge.  Please call Paulette at 214-646-7778 to reserve a table.  

Paulette will also be hosting a Casino Bus Trip on June 6th ($25.00 which includes a light breakfast at the Lodge).  We depart from the Lodge around8:30 a.m. and return around 6:00 p.m.  This is going to sell out fast, so please make your reservations now.  (More Details to Follow As We Know Them).

This Friday, there is an award winning Country/Western Band called the Jon Beaumont band that will be at the Lodge from 7:00 - 11:00 on Friday night. Jon's band just recently opened for Martina McBride and they are regulars at Southern Junction, Ranch House and the Stockyards.  Don't miss out.  $10.00 is all it costs for you to enjoy GREAT music and dance the night away.  The ballroom will be smoke free, so come on down and have a great time.  We will have burger baskets on hand for $6.00.  If we can get 60 of our members to come down and spend $20.00, we can have a huge night.  Let's Do It.  There are already 88 RSVP's on social media.

Also, please remember Interlodge is in Mesquite on April 18th and 19th. We need to try and get 30 people there on Saturday Night and Sunday Morning so we can take the travelling trophy away from Marshall.  All Officers and House Committee Members are required to be there on Saturday morning from 9:00 - 12:00 for mandatory training.

Team P4AC Out of $5,000 GTD Freeroll/Freebuy

Good morning all.  The first $5,000 freeroll/freebuy is still going on. Unfortunately the three team members of P4AC, Unforseen Nemesis, saltynuts and P4AC Poker are out. Out of 1,398 entrants, 8 are remaining. Hopefully more of Team P4AC will show up for the next $5,000 GTD at 2:30 PM EST or server time.

If you would like to watch our team play in support of P4AC's Veterans House or if you would like to join our team at America's Cardroom and become a supporter of Veterans House you will need the Americas Cardroom software. If you already have it great. Although you will be able to watch team members as they play in the various tournaments and on cash tables provided by America's Cardroom in support of Veterans House. Massive brawl at NYC casino over daiquiris

A brawl involving dozens of people broke out inside the Resorts World casino at Aqueduct Race Track on Friday night, turning the opening night of a Fat Tuesday daiquiri bar into a fight night worthy of Las Vegas.

The violence was sparked by people angry about the long wait for daiquiris, law-enforcement sources said.

The fight spilled into the casino’s food court and then out into the parking lot.

Three people were under arrest late Friday night, law-enforcement sources said.

Investigators are looking into whether the fight was gang-related and whether shots were fired in the parking lot, the sources said.

Video posted online showed crazed patrons throwing chairs, shouting, and milling about.

Yelling and the sound of glass breaking can be heard in the background.

The High Five Tournament Series returns for a fourth time! From Wednesday, April 8th through Sunday, April 12th, there will be a guaranteed $1,420,000 in prize pools across 25 exciting events!

This is a 25 tournament event, with 5 running each day in addition to the regular tournament schedule. Buy-in prices range from as little as $2+$0.20 to as high as $500+$40 for the Million Dollar Sundays Event.
